So, it's finally about time that Win10 support stopped and for me it means that I'll either have to upgrade to Win11 (ew), keep using Win10 or start using Linux and maybe even Arch Linux if I'm brave enough. I talked to my friend about this topic and he unfortunately had to forcefully update to Win11 because otherwise his PC won't boot for reasons I that are out of scope for me. God, just seeing from his PC that Win11 lacked some basic features that Win10 already had with the addition of it just feeling very empty and lifeless. Combine that with the fact that logging into a Microsoft accound is downright mandatory, the start menu is a joke (it broke constantly during our Discord call with screen share) and something simple as fucking File Explorer LAGS just made me think about switching over to Linux on a whim basically. He also thinks about switching over, particularly to Arch Linux which I am also interested in now. Either way if I do make the switch, it will take time to get used to using a whole new OS, especially if that operating system's name is Arch Linux! :)
Thankfully the Chat Control vote that was supposed to take place tomorrow was called off a few days ago, but I think it's not as good of a news as people think, because I'm certain that they will push this shit more in the passing months and years, trying to make it more subtle the next time in order to avoid suspicions of privacy violations. It's as if in the future the only way to have a truly private conversation with someone is to ditch every electronic device before you are close so noone can listen in on you. It's interesting / funny (not as much maybe anymore) to think about stuff like this for now, but I'm sure that this will turn into a reality to some extent in one way or another, it's only a matter of time at this point.
Enough negativity, time for some screenshots of MAP18 of Torment Of Screams. The level doesn't have a name yet, but I'll make sure to think of a really good one. Some sharp-eyed PWAD enthusiasts can probably recognize the homage to one specific level I'm trying to make, can you? :D
