Instead of Arch Linux, I instead turned to Mint because when I really thought about it, I realized that I don't use my laptop for much other than work, playing chess and playing some games and that is pretty much it.. Speaking of games, I uploaded some of my udoom uv-speed demos now, they should be visible now, (udoom page wasn't listed before but the page .html existed) still no E1M1-009 from me tho!! No joke, I have spent like about 3hrs on it and every time I get is a low 10:2x something!!!! Pilger claimed years later that it took him a bit over an hour to get it which I find fascinating because I'm still struggling but maybe because I'm not as good as him in his prime.
I had a two day Classical Chess tournament which ended today and I gotta say that it went horribly. Out of five total games, I lost the first to a near 2000 which I can't be mad or sad about when I'm unrated in FIDE classical, the second game is lost by weakening my king with a Bxf3 gxf3 in the Old Steinitz Spanish (i thought I had a tactical justification for that but it turned out to be quite the opposite!), the third was drawn in a winning position for me after checking with an engine but during the game it looked kinda sketchy until it really didn't after analysing a bit deeper with my friend that her attack didn't have enough pieces. Mind you, she offered a draw when I had a sketchy king situation and down two pawns so of course I accepted, anything else would be dumb! Again I drew in the 4th game in a winning position where I had a passer in a locked pawn center with a rook for an each side. I was too afraid that her rook could take an open file and then eat my backward pawns but I was too dumb to realize that after I gobbled down some of her queenside pawns in exchange for mine, i could have connected passers, the victory could've played itself as my chess coach said, that same friend whom I analysed games together gave me a figurative slap on the head and said to me: "Wtf are u doing?" and yeah they are both right!! Last game was a victory for me finally, in 63 moves!! At the end, it's a result I'm not content with but I think it's a good thing because I never want anything like this to happen again, lol.
