Hello, back again perhaps later than I promised but it's ok because it could be way worse due to my laziness. For reference, I have three course assessments in school tomorrow, but here I am recording Doom demos and procrastinating! It is kind of interesting to think about what I would be if I wasn't so lazy all the time, but I could say I'm happy and content enough rn, so the butterfly effect checks out I guess. I had my CEPT test a few days ago which determines whether your English is at the B2 or C1+ proficiency, I got the latter! :) For me it means that I'll be taking the Cambridge exam in November which is great. On the point of the CEPT, the listening parts felt wayyy too easy, it practically spoonfed the answer, shit felt easier than the B2 exam! I think the test is dubious for this reason. Speaking about school, the final month of May is quite hellish to say the least. The before mentioned course assessments tomorrow, an year long research project presentation in a couple of days, driving exam in a week and the Geography exam in 2 weeks. To be honest I'm only worried about tomorrow and Geography, the rest is trivial; driving is very easy and the presentation has been practiced several times so that is easy too :) It's just about the final push and it'll feel like a haze. Atleast after all of this I'll have a vacation in Latvia for a few days which I really look forward to..

About the "Level / WAD review" thing I promised several months back; yeah.. I'm not planning to release such thing at all after consideration. The main reason being that since I wanted to record demos for all of the maps before I write reviews, it was a huge problem when recording Scythe because MAP30 of it is very hard! :) And to do it saveless too is too much for me right now, so there's that. The second reason is that I think I'm not qualified to do such thing while I haven't released my megawad yet, so I can't possibly critique others, because if I do that my opinion is kind of irrelevant regardless how ok it sounds. So yeah, sorry for all the people (0) who wanted to see it, it is what it is :/

Progress on TOS hasn't halted at all. Despite the recently turbulent life of mine, I've managed to remake certain sections of MAP03, but here are some MAP02 screens first!

Sorry about not updating this once per week like I promised, it felt nice to rest after getting the vast majority of academic stress over with (one massive exception) but it's atleast more consistent than what it was before. :P I actually have to start studying on the weekends and on Monday for the Geography exam on Tuesday, and idk if I'm even gonna pass it. This will depend on my procrastination and how far I can take it; I believe I am world class at it, just look at the current state of Torment Of Screams! ;)

Oh, speaking about it, I finished MAP03: "Infested Distillery", here are some screenies:

I'll try some actual SDI revamp fixes and start work on tos04 after the 26th, but I will probably make it earlier if I really don't want to study Geography. Besides, most of it is not too hard if logic is used, a large portion is understanding maps and graphs so it will be easy probably? I was given a whole bunch of exam exercise sheets that I have to finish by Monday to show at the consultation, it's the hardest part of this I think. I could study for 5hrs per day over the course of three days and then spend the rest of the time on Doom stuff and playing Grand Theft Auto III, at the racing mission now and I am obsessed to say the least :D
