Currently listening to: Code Red - 18 (English version)

Well, if you couldn't guess from the song I'm listening to, I am indeed turning 18 tonight!! (or in just about half an hour lmao) Very surreal feeling to just suddenly be this age already after practically waiting for your whole life to finally turn into an adult of legal drinking age hahaha. Now, I would celebrate with some alcohol tonight if I didn't have driving school early on the day after it, but I might as well do it when I don't have anything scheduled. Speaking of that, I should get my license pretty soon, I'm doing well ok so far but sadly no car from family after driving exam! Bummer!! :(

Admittedly, I have sort of neglected updating the Speed Demo Index as of late due to pure laziness honestly. It started off as an hobby thing where I would upload my fastest times of IWAD levels and I felt like posting my times to my website would motivate greatly to do more demos (which it did!) because I always have had the tendency to run around maps and try to complete them in the fastest time when I had 20 minutes to burn. I have done some udoom UV-Speed demos for it too, although I have yet to fill the table of all maps. I'll try to put some actual effort in to the Index by making a proper form for the demo file .txt's as well as having a "first demo, last demo" thing going on. But you can never hope for a better looking demo hosting website like Compet-N and the likes - this site (both the Index and the main website) is as good as it gets in terms of nice and sleek GUI, I'm too stupid for that! :P

Same thing could be said for the (slight) neglect of Torment Of Screams. While it's not dead, there was a period where I just could not map for it and that was because Linux really doesn't support UDB natively, which meant that i had to conigure alot of shit with Wine for about ~6-ish hours to finally get it to work with some lag & no ZokumBSP mind you!!!! While it sucks, all hope is not lost ofc, I have already designed the start of MAP05 (I'll show screens when it's more finished, dw) and I think it looks ok so the OS will not be a handicap thankfully! :)

Hmmmm, have I forgot something?... ...oh yeah, I have no idea what to do with the Scythe demos. The reason for that being is that since I have yet to find a way to upload DOOM2.EXE demos to YouTube with very good video quality because the harsh truth is that it's gonna look shit 99% of the time if you don't have everything optimally configured in OBS and you sure have to pray that YouTube doesn't compress the everloving fuck out of the video. Well, I have yet to find a way to get these good settings, it's the exactly same issue why there has not been any Ironman demo uploads because the quality of the videos would be absolute garbage. You're probably thinking - why would demo uploads for a review be necessary? Well, that's because I always had moments that during some video game reviews (both Doom and other games) had moments where the reviewers were gonna say some weird / illogical take that would have me go: "What are you talking about? Have you ever played the game?" and truth be told it has happened less times than I'd like to admit, but I thought it would be interesting to include them so noone could use that argument against me :D Well, I guess I could just write normal reviews then lol, I'll try to find a solution to the video quality problem tho!
